About Westview Cemetery 2006
This survey contains entries of all marked graves in Westview Cemetery as of December 31, 2006. It is the result of a joint project which originated with the Morning glory Garden Club. The Town Committee of the National Society of Colonial Dames and City of Moultrie joined the project to beautify and renovate the cemetery.
A group of citizens joined the project to form a group of “Cemetery Buddies” to survey the cemetery. The group met on Thursday and Saturday mornings to collect information recorded on the gravestones. The information was recorded on 3X5 cards and are stored in the card catalog in the Odom Genealogy Library.
The directory includes selected pieces of information from these cards. If you need a copy or transcription of the card, the original cards are available in the Genealogy Library. For more information, contact us by phone (229) 985-6540 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
A map of the Westview Cemetery and directions for the walking tour may be helpful to anyone wanting to find a particular grave site listed in the Westview directory.
An audio tour and the map are available on the City of Moultrie’s website.
