General Reference Genealogy Questions
 

Do you have a factual question? Let us help you find the answer. Our reference staff can answer your basic questions. All requests receive the same consideration and are answered in the order received. Requests are handled in as timely a manner as is possible.

If you are advised that your question requires more extensive research, you may come to the library or engage the services of a professional researcher. Questions involving extensive research cannot be answered due to time and staff constraints.

Guidelines for General Reference Questions

Please use complete sentences. The more you tell us, the better your answer will be. Knowing where you already looked will help us keep from sending you some place you've already been.

 
The types of questions we CAN answer are those that require brief factual answers, such as:

picture of a pin used as a bullet in a list What is the name, address, and phone number of Moultrie's representative to the Georgia House of Representatives? Does he or she also have an e-mail address?

picture of a pin used as a bullet in a list Does the library subscribe to the periodical The American Journal of Psychiatry? Do you have the June 1995 issue?

For more complex questions, please visit the library reference desk. A librarian will be glad to help you.
