Did you know that kids can lose significant knowledge in reading and math over summer break? The good news is that “summer slide” can be counteracted by keeping your kids reading and engaged in the summer time–for free!–at the library. Starting May 15, kids can pick up reading trackers at the library or register online at mccls.beanstack.org for this year’s summer reading challenge: All Together Now. For every 300 minutes read, kids will earn a block sticker for the display and a prize. Those who complete 1,500 minutes will earn their very own animal building blocks set! Programs start June 2.
