Get a library card today!
Adults 18 years or older who wish to get a library card must show a valid form of photo identification (examples – driver’s license, passport, etc.) with the patron’s current mailing address. If address is different from photo identification, then bring in a current utility bill, rent statement or other proof of current address with the name that matches your photo identification.
Persons 17 years or younger who wish to get a library card must have the parent’s/guardian’s signature in order to receive a card.
Printed copies of the registration form are available at the Circulation Desk.
Lost or Misplaced Cards
If a patron loses or misplaces his/her library card, the patron should notify the library immediately. The card will be cancelled so that no one can use it. If a patron does not notify the library, he/she will be held accountable for all materials checked out on the card. The charge for a new card is $2.00, plus any fines that are on the account. Any lost library cards found or turned into the library are held at the front desk. Ask a staff member and they will be happy to assist you.
You have the opportunity to register to vote at the time you apply for your library card. Ask staff a member for details.
The loan period for books, audio books and magazines is 14 days with the exception of items in the “new books” collection. New books are loaned for 7 days. DVDs are loaned for 7 days.
Renewals can be made over the phone or by accessing your account in the on-line cataloging. You can also come into the library and renew your books at the front Circulation Desk.
There is a limit of 2 renewals. If a hold request has been placed on an item, it may not be renewed. If the book has a HOLD on it, patrons must bring that book into the library.
DVDs cannot be renewed! A total of three DVDs may be checked out at one time, with an adult’s card.
